## Our Work in the Community

#### From the ballot box to the classroom, here's where Saginaw County League members are making a difference right now, with more to come.

![Saginaw County Voter Services](https://www.lwvsaginaw.org/hubfs/website/voter-services-600x600px.jpg "Saginaw County Voter Services")

We register voters, run Vote411, and make sure Saginaw County residents have everything they need to cast an informed ballot.

![Saginaw County Voter Advocacy](https://www.lwvsaginaw.org/hubfs/website/advocacy-600x600px.jpg "Saginaw County Voter Advocacy")

We research the issues, educate the community, and push for change on the challenges facing Saginaw County — from infant mortality to youth empowerment.

![Saginaw County Voter Youth Programs](https://www.lwvsaginaw.org/hubfs/website/youth-programs-600x600px.jpg "Saginaw County Voter Youth Programs")

We connect young people to local government through hands-on civic experiences — because tomorrow's voters are already here.

![Saginaw County Remember My Voice Program](https://www.lwvsaginaw.org/hubfs/website/remember-my-voice-600x600px.jpg "Saginaw County Remember My Voice Program")

We help incarcerated parents stay connected to their children through the power of reading aloud.

## About LWV of Saginaw County

Founded in 1920, the League of Women Voters has spent more than a century making democracy work for everyone. Our Saginaw County chapter is made up of volunteers who believe that informed, active participation in government isn't just a right — it's a responsibility. We are nonpartisan. We are grassroots. And we are open to anyone age 16 or older who shares those values.

#### What We Believe

- **Empowered Voters:** Every person deserves the knowledge and confidence to participate in democracy — at the local, state, and national level.
- **Defended Democracy:** We take positions on public policy issues our members have studied. We advocate. We show up. We hold government accountable.
- **Radical Nonpartisanship:** We do not support or oppose any political party or candidate. Period. We never have. We never will.
